Murder Mystery Decoration Ideas

1. Classic Noir

Black, white and deep red only. Battery candles or low warm lighting, venetian blind-style shadows if you can manage them (even a lamp with slats of paper taped over it works), and a single "case file" prop on the table with a folder, string, and photos pinned to a board.

2. 1920s Speakeasy

4. Corporate Gala / Modern

High-Impact, Low-Effort Touches

• Lighting first, everything else second. Dimmed lights, candles and warm-toned bulbs transform a room faster than any prop.
• A "crime scene" corner. A taped outline, a single spotlighted prop, or a small evidence table gives guests a natural photo spot and conversation starter.
• Printed name/character cards double as place settings and decoration in one.
